Fibre Federal Credit Union is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to join our team and focus on growth in our Newport and Lincoln City communities. This pivotal role makes an impact by helping our business members achieve their financial goals.
This position is Salary (Non-Exempt) plus Commission. Salary Range: $97,612.52 - $152,253.47
* The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increases based on performance. The target pay range for this position is typically within the first half of the range. Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
The primary responsibility of the Business Relationship Manager is to sell financial products and develop and manage business relationships throughout the assigned Southern Oregon Coast Region. This position customarily and regularly solicits prospective borrowers and supports business development, commercial lending growth, business deposit gathering, and relationship expansion by identifying prospects, developing referral sources, coordinating qualified opportunities with internal partners, and representing the Credit Union in the local business community. This is an outside sales position which requires regular off-site meetings and attendance at events to develop business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Develop, maintain, and execute a territory business development plan for the assigned market, including targeted prospects, referral sources, centers of influence, community partners, calling activity, pipeline tracking, and growth opportunities.
· Customarily and regularly promotes the Credit Union and solicits its lending products in the local community. Meets with local businesses to promote lending products and builds and maintains relationships with existing business members, business professionals, community organizations, chambers, and other referral sources to support business membership, loan, and deposit growth. Activities include regularly attending community organization and chamber events and meeting with prospective members in the community.
· Develop and maintain relationships with prospective business members to generate qualified lending, deposit, treasury, and business service opportunities.
· Source commercial lending opportunities and conduct initial borrower discovery, including business purpose, borrowing need, collateral overview, repayment source, and preliminary financial/document needs.
· Coordinate with Commercial Services and lending partners to support loan application intake, borrower communication, documentation collection, underwriting handoff, closing coordination, and post-closing follow-up.
· Promote business deposit growth by identifying and referring opportunities for business checking, cash management, business online banking, ACH, merchant or partner referrals, and other deposit or treasury-related services.
· Deepen existing business member relationships by identifying additional needs, coordinating internal referrals, supporting retention, and connecting members with appropriate Credit Union solutions.
· Maintain accurate pipeline records, call activity, referral tracking, follow-up actions, and status updates to support reporting, accountability, and performance management.
· Collaborate with branch, marketing, lending, deposit operations, treasury-related service partners, and other departments to support coordinated market growth strategies.
· Maintain awareness of local business conditions, competitor activity, market trends, and community development opportunities that may affect business growth in the assigned territory.
· Follow Credit Union policies, procedures, internal controls, member due diligence requirements, privacy expectations, BSA/AML responsibilities, fair lending principles, and applicable commercial lending and deposit-related requirements.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience - Five to eight years of similar or related experience in business development, commercial lending, business banking, financial services relationship management, or a related field.
· Education - Bachelor's degree preferred, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree, or equivalent progressive experience.
· Sales and Relationship Development - Demonstrated ability to identify prospects, make business development calls, develop referral relationships, follow up on opportunities, and support measurable business growth.
· Commercial Lending Knowledge - Working knowledge of member business lending concepts, commercial loan eligibility, business financial information, documentation needs, and commercial loan referral or application processes.
· Deposit Services Knowledge - Working knowledge of business deposit products and services, including business checking, online business banking, ACH, cash management or treasury-related services, and related referral opportunities.
· Interpersonal Skills - Work involves extensive personal contact with others and may involve sensitive or confidential information. The role requires the ability to develop relationships, maintain confidentiality, influence others, and promote Credit Union products and services in a professional manner.
· Quality of Communication - Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with prospective members, existing members, business partners, community contacts, and internal staff.
· Planning/Organizing - Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain accurate follow-up, and manage pipeline activity.
· Professionalism - Must represent the Credit Union in a positive, ethical, and professional manner in all internal and external interactions.
